RD: Product Review "End Game" Written by Raging Demons on 01/25/10

Honestly. Between you and me. I had no idea what to write about for an upcoming column. Then "Original WWF Fan Club" member "Keitel" told me about a certain DVD movie that I thought wasn't released yet. So with that knowledge now I present to you with the latest "Product Review":
Product Review: "End Game".
“End Game” is a straight-to-DVD movie starring TNA wrestler Kurt Angle as “Mayfield”, a psychotic murderer that kills a woman that sets off a chain of events leading to the police trying to capture him. It also stars “Survivor: Amazon” & ex-TNA star Jenna Morasca as “Carol”, roommate to the victim that Mayfield kills.
First thing that you IMMEDIATELY notice is the look of the movie itself. This doesn’t look like a normal movie. It more looks like a movie that was made by college kids for a class project. This whole movie looks very cheaply made. Also the first scene of the movie you have Mayfield saying things that you will only hear in porn. Okay I know that Kurt Angle is playing some sort of bad guy. BUT I DON’T WANT TO HEAR WHAT ANGLE SAID IN THE THROWS OF LOVE MAKING! That is going to up there with Kane “touching himself” in the movie “See No Evil” in my nightmares. Also there are some scenes in the movie that looked very cheap. With the police office using big old computer monitors when today’s corporate world are using flat-screen monitors, to dancers wearing leg warmers. When was the last time you have EVER seen leg warmers aside from an 80’s movie or TV? Yeah this is what I’m talking about how this movie looks cheap.
The story itself plays more like an episode of “Law & Order” than an actual movie. Seeing the head detective trying to capture Mayfield but the only difference between the movie and an episode of “Law & Order” is how slow the movie progresses.
The movie also uses very dated concepts when Mayfield apparently takes his lessons from the Dana Carvey movie “Master Of Disguise”. Mayfield is actually going around using pull-away masks disguised as a cop, dressed up as a clown called “Buffo The Clown” (wish I was kidding on that one), even in glasses and a wig. It makes Mayfield looks like more of a cartoony version of a “MAD GENIUS” more than a killer.
The movie also suffers something really big. Plot holes. Not but two of them. One of the plot holes is when the head detective somehow knows where Carol works (I’ll get to that one in a bit) and ends up in a sexual relationship with her. How did this happen? Wish I knew but the movie didn’t go into too many details about it. The major plot hole in the movie is how Mayfield constantly calls the head detective and harassing him which leads to a big point in the movie where Mayfield kidnaps that detective’s daughter. They never mentioned it how Mayfield and this detective were connected. These plot holes made the movie hard to follow.
The acting from this movie is a whole different issue. It wasn’t just one or two actors that was horrible in this movie it was everybody in this movie that was bad! Every other actor said their line in a wooden, monotonic style that was void of any emotion whatsoever. There were even a couple of times when Mayfield actually invoked some anger out of the police and what happened? Nothing! They said their lines because of the anger but they weren’t angry, more like “ARGH! I’m Angry!”
How about the stars of the movie Kurt Angle & Jenna Morasca? Jenna Morasca acted very average, neither good nor bad. When the movie revealed later that she is in fact a stripper (something that I know of all too well), she was wearing a costume to strip. Here’s some stripper information for all of you. Most strippers do not wear costumes unless you’re a “National Stripper” meaning you are either a porn star/stripper that goes on tour to dance in clubs and they wear costumes. Adding to it her moves were very unbelievable. So that’s where Jenna Morasca learned her bad stripper moves in her match versus Sharmell! Kurt Angle on the other hand is the best actor in the movie but he’s also horrible as well. Most of the things that we see Angle’s character of “Mayfield” do; Angle has already done in TNA, and before that WWE, as a “bad guy wrestler” so we’re basically seeing Kurt Angle’s portrayal as “Mayfield” is Angle’s “bad guy wrestler” on steroids! Kurt Angle did not bring anything new as an actor.
One important note here before I end this “Review”. This movie made Kurt Angle want to be an actor. If it wasn’t for this movie then Angle wouldn’t have met Jenna Morasca. If Angle & Morasca hasn’t met then Jenna Morasca wouldn’t have been convinced by Angle to be a part of TNA. If Jenna Morasca wasn’t a part of TNA then she wouldn’t had been involved in a storyline with “The Main Event Mafia” from last year. If Jenna Morasca wasn’t a part of “The Main Event Mafia” storyline then we wouldn’t had that abortion of a match of Jenna Morasca versus Sharmelll! All because of this particular movie. Fun huh?
Overall: This is a bad movie. Don’t buy it, don’t rent it, in fact stay away from this movie as far as you can and if you do have the urge to see it or buy it. Turn the DVD into a nice and handy coaster.
I usually tell you where to get "End Game". But in this case. I better save you all the horror from this movie. If you ACTUALLY do find it. Like I said before. Avoid it at all costs!
